Cultivating Happiness

A Weekend Retreat with Meditation Teachers

Anh-Huong Nguyen and Thu Nguyen

March 26 - 28, 2010

Claymont Court, Charles Town, West Virginia

Walking Meditation

Mindfulness helps us to recognize the many conditions of happiness that are available in the here and the now. The practice of mindfulness is not hard labor, it's a matter of enjoyment. And enjoyment can become a habit. The capacity to be happy is the best thing we can cultivate. During this weekend retreat, we will come together as a community to learn the practice of conscious breathing, mindful sitting, mindful walking, mindful eating, healing movements and deep relaxation in order to relax our bodies, calm our minds and open our hearts to all the wonders of life within and all around us. With enough mindfulness and concentration, insight is born. With deep insight, we can let go of our worries and fear, and we can enjoy each moment of our life.
